Catherine & Chet

May 16, 2009 at Semple Mansion in Minneapolis

Sometimes the simplest of beginnings can be the best—just ask Catherine Hart and Chet Villa, medical professionals who met over grilled cheese sandwiches in a hospital cafeteria. The goal of their spring wedding was just as straightforward: an intimate gathering, with good food and drink. The palette and flowers took their cues from the season’s local bounty; lilacs and tulips were among the lavender and yellow florals that graced the elegant Semple Mansion setting. Cheerful purple and yellow Peeps confections, for which Catherine admits an “odd fondness,” added a touch of whimsy to the color scheme. Guests were treated to elegant food by Three Sons Signature Cuisine and a simple, beautiful celebration.
