Annya & Mike

July 16, 2010 at Friendship Church and Stonebrooke Golf Club in Shakopee

It isn’t hard to see what made Annya Lamphere and Mike Goracke’s wedding an upbeat, fun celebration. A vivid fuchsia and lime-green palette, their rat terrier Lila in a tutu and a 1971 “Sassy Grass Green” Hemi Cuda convertible are just a few of the elements that added up to an atmosphere of casual playfulness. More festive family picnic than stuffy formal occasion, the event boasted a burger bar, novelty cupcakes and kegs of the couple’s favorite summer beers (Blue Moon and Nordeast, to name a few). The family played a central role in the celebration, with siblings making up the wedding party, the groom’s niece and nephew as the flower girl and ring bearer, and Annya’s father performing the ceremony. Their honeymoon? No surprise here: Mr. and Mrs. Goracke visited all of the major theme-park attractions in Orlando.
