Andrea & Ryan
July 30th, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church and Semple Mansion in Minneapolis

Andrea Kane and Ryan Horazdovsky have a special little boy to thank for their marriage. Both worked at the University of Minnesota, Fairview–Andrea as a child life specialist and Ryan at the time was an orthopedic intern–and were assigned the case of a delightful 6-year-old who had undergone more than 30 surgeries. Throughout his ordeal, Andrea helped the boy cope and become accustomed to the hospital, and when it came time for the boy to be discharged, he didn't want to leave, telling Ryan, "I want to play with Andrea more." Ryan found Andrea the next day, complimented her work and asked her out a week later. Less than two years after that Ryan proposed on the top of Navy Pier's farris wheel in Chicago. For their wedding, Andrea and Ryan chose the warm and romantic Semple Mansion, a location that reflected their love of the vintage look. The special guest at their wedding? A now 8-year-old good friend.
