Aimee & Randy

Sept. 18, 2010 with a ceremony at The Heritage Center in New Richmond, Wis. and a reception at The Lowell Inn in Stillwater

When Aimee Dixon locked her keys in her car, coworkers suggested that Randy Staples could probably help her out. Sure enough, he retrieved the keys, and Aimee took him out to lunch to thank him. They immediately bonded over—among other things—a shared love of John Denver, and by the end of the meal, it was obvious to both that they’d stumbled on someone special. Before meeting Aimee, Randy had torn down his house to the foundation and begun to rebuild it. He’d reached a stopping point, realizing that he couldn’t finish the interior work until he met the person with whom he’d be sharing the home. Not long after, he and Aimee were finishing the house’s design together, and she and her daughter were moving in and calling it home. Appropriately, many of the wedding decorations were made using materials from the land around the house, including the garden.
