New York Bridal Fashion Week is winding down but the bridal inspiration is just beginning. It wouldn't be fair to cover Bridal Fashion Week without delving into the world of haute couture and runway; this year's designs did not disappoint in terms of innovation and style. Haute Couture finds its roots in French history, where the phrase literally means "high sewing." The heart of high fashion brings luxury and quality to each piece, the gowns and silhouettes featured across collections truly encompass bridal attire as the breathing art it is. Hallmarks of these creations are hand-sewn details and immense attention to detail, often with a fantastical edge. While many of the designers that debuted couture collections featured degrees of more accessible designs and traditional gowns, it was the Haute Couture looks we saw this year that showed the immense creativity and inspiration of bridal designers is alive and thriving.

As we head into the Fall/Winter season, across collections flowers served as inspiration for patterns, textures and silhouettes. An aura of royalty overtook designs, notably with Kim Kassas Couture's "Your Majesty" collection which pulled inspiration from Marie Antoinette herself and brought a contemporary visual to French history.  Standout moments from the runway included a grand finale by Morilee featuring a dramatic vision of black and white and a gown from Esé Azénabor that transformed the model into a floating floral delight. Julie Vino Couture upped the drama with a cascading black gown fit for the bold bride.

Haute Couture is the highlight of New York Bridal Fashion Week; it sets the tone for trends and styles and offers a plethora of inspiration for the modern nearlywed. Delve into a world with no bounds and embrace the colors and shapes of this year's New York Bridal Fashion Week.
