Honeymoon: Costa Rica
After meeting at a restaurant bar, Rob Van Demark tracked Laura Jacobson down on Facebook to ask her out for coffee. That detective work obviously paid off, eventually leading to the couple’s classic, relaxed wedding at Rochester’s Mayowood Stone Barn. “Having grown up in Rochester, I knew the Mayowood Stone Barn would be a romantic setting with its historic stone buildings, fields of wildflowers and surrounding lush greenery,” Laura says. They wed under a charming old leaning oak tree beneath a moon gate arch filled with local flowers with their son, Will, nearby. Their florist continued that lush, natural magic with a floral canopy dripping with flowers above the head table. For the party, they brought in an espresso coffee cart and bubbly bar to keep guests going, then closed the night with a s’mores bar. “My hope for the day was for it to feel relaxed, romantic, and happy,” Laura says.
