The typographical type
For a modern couple seeking ornamentation yet restraint, this combination of bold letterpress text and vibrant colors is simply sophisticated. For a more personal twist, a mix CD favor is included, complete with a matching embellished insert that features an array of special dates, inside jokes and references to the couple’s life together. Free bird
The sparrow, a symbol of freedom, appropriately takes center stage in this invitation, inspired by a bride determined to break free from ordinary wedding stationery design. The blending of scrollwork and Indonesian flowers in a true red pops off this classically elegant eggshell backdrop. Dick and Jane Letterpress

A natural fit

It’s no surprise that a nature-loving couple who wed at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum inspired this nature-centered design. The light, airy feel of the green floral graphics and blue text matches the couple’s whimsical nature, and their playfulness matched the designer’s signature quirkiness. UNIQLOVE

Rustic romance
Romantic pink juxtaposed with black birds on black branches set the tone for a dreamy outdoor wedding. The gate-fold enclosure tied together with a soft ribbon gives this design a charming touch. Ekcetera

Playfully paisley
An explosion of bright colors in an unexpected paisley pattern makes this a fun and fresh design.  The use of muted green and more formal typefaces serves to “balance the playfulness of the invitation, since it is still a formal event,” says designer Lindsay Doyle. Ekcetera

Logo loco
For this custom-made invitation, the authentic feel of the wedding destination, Puerto Vallarta, drove the style. The couple worked with designer Sarah Glad to create an original logo to be used throughout the entire wedding, capturing the feel of old Mexico in a gold scrolling pattern reminiscent of Old World royalty. The bright orange and turquoise also captured the tropical essence of the destination. A Milestone Paper Paper Co.
