Loring Social is the new venue everyone is talking about.

One of the hottest new venues in town—in the buzzy Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis—is reinventing the wheel. Loring Social, located in the 1629 space, was originally home to the Stutz Bearcat car dealership, and tell-tale signs of its bygone showroom history pepper the airy space, including an ornate car transport elevator, gleaming original terrazzo floors and towering 16-foot ceilings.

This sophisticated urban venue is made up of two elegant spaces, which can be used separately or together to create a super-glam experience. The something old (exposed original brick walls)/something new (16 sparkling chandeliers drip from the ceilings) vibe gives off a romantic, yet current, feel.

“This venue is so versatile, it will have something unique for everyone,” says Carolyn Vinup of D’Amico Catering, who is managing the new venue.

Loring Social is primed for dinner, dancing and drinks, with a built-in marble bar tucked into the corner and space to accommodate 200 guests in the larger room. Bonus: The industrial garage doors and windows let in picture-perfect lighting (in a former life, the space was also a photographer’s studio) and a quaint view of the cobblestone alleyway.
