Sophia Mavrommatis and Lindsey Wanberg first saw each other at their college activity fair, but it wasn’t until they were introduced by a mutual friend that they decided to go on a date. Then they went on another one the next day. Then another, and another ... and a few years later, they had their wedding date. Flowers were a prevalent theme throughout the brides’ big day; even though Lindsey and Sophia were each applying to med schools, they knew they didn’t want to skimp. Much like the flowers, the pair say everything in their relationship has just “blossomed naturally.” They even used an old wildflower guidebook as their guest book, where guests could pick a flower and sign the page. The brides also chose to update some wedding traditions; for example, in lieu of a rehearsal dinner, they had a welcome party barbecue picnic for their guests, and at the wedding, each bride had her brother as her “man of honor.”
