How would you describe what you do?

We get inside our client’s heads and identify the heart and soul of the wedding they want. We’re part task master, part therapist, part cheerleader. We know who to hire and how to work together with a team of vendors to pull it all together. We are the insurance policy on the wedding day.

What is your philosophy of a wedding planner and their role in helping brides and grooms plan their wedding?

In our experience, the key to a flawless, personal wedding or special event lies in hiring true professionals and trusting them to do what they love. The NSE Approach to wedding and event planning, design, and décor encompasses this tenant and allows our clients to truly enjoy the process. Three major principals define our approach:

1. Get to know each other - The most critical step in our approach is the investment of time in developing relationships. Our first consultation rarely runs less than 2 hours and during that time we strive to truly understand the client’s vision, their likes and dislikes, and who they are as people. This information allows us to create a custom plan for working together and begins to establish genuine trust. A critical part of this conversation is also sharing photos of our work and war stories from our many years of experience! We want you to be comfortable with everything we bring to the table.

At this point in the process, if you know you trust NSE and you are ready to move forward, we request a “Save The Date” deposit.

2. Relate visually - In order to prove we truly “get” your vision, the second step in our approach is to create an Inspiration Board that visually walks through the wedding or special event. First we create a Pinterest Board to capture images and then we use Microsoft PowerPoint to create a detailed and thoughtful presentation. Finally, we schedule a consultation to review the presentation together. By the end of this meeting we KNOW we are all on the same page.

3. Completely Custom Packages - What we know for sure is that no two weddings or special events are the same and every set of circumstances requires a different set of solutions. We begin this conversation by asking our clients to tell us the budget they have in mind. Rather than haggle over minor details, we use your budget to develop a proposal and offer additional options at various price points. Every client has an ultimate bottom line and we strive to provide everything we can possibly squeeze under that line.

After reviewing the Inspiration Board and discussing the budget, we design a custom proposal that outlines each aspect of the event and reflects one final price for our services. To avoid “nickel and diming” on both sides, NSE does not provide line item pricing. Rather we commit to using the best materials, scheduling the appropriate amount of staff, and squeezing the maximum amount of value out of every dollar. We recognize the considerable amount of trust this type of negotiation requires! Because we are usually already on the same page with our clients when they review the proposal, there are typically no surprises, and at this point the client provides a 50% deposit. Changes may be made to the proposal up until two weeks prior to the event when the final balance is due.

Do you offer packages? If so, what are they?

Most packages are completely custom. However we do offer a Month-Of Coordination package for $999 (see attached).

What is your most popular package? Why?

Most clients choose a custom package that includes the Month-Of coordination. The custom packages typically include florals, décor, lighting, ceiling décor and linens.

How do you charge? What are your rates?

Completely custom package pricing contingent on the client’s budget, style, size of wedding, etc.

Are you able to counsel me on wedding etiquette?

Of course. We consider ourselves “Wedding Therapists” that can offer advice on just about anything wedding related.

Do you offer any other special services?

Vendor referrals, stationery guidance, Wedding Weekend activity planning.
