I am absolutely smitten with this ethereal, editorial bridal fashion shoot by Athena Pelton. I must have scrolled through it a million times by now. I love seeing the delicacy of these beautiful lace and tulle wedding gowns out in the natural elements, surrounded by starkly bare trees and fallen leaves. The contrast between bright whites and muted earth tones is striking and lovely. The styling and composition of these images is inspiring to say the least. What bride wouldn't be thrilled to don a pretty floral crown or glamorous fur wrap on her big day?  Read on to learn a little about the creation of this gorgeous shoot.

From the Photographer:

I’ve loved and admired fashion and design since I was a little girl. Throughout most of my life I thought I’d end up at Parsons or FIDM and live the life of a designer in New York. Somehow that was railroaded (by a boy) and I never really got back on track. Until now. Though my aspirations have changed – from fashion designer  to styling, design, and merchandising – the passion still runs to my core.

So naturally, I married my two passions together and produced and designed an editorial bridal fashion shoot. I wanted to stretch my wings as a photographer, and break into the editorial market. With the help of an insane list of talented creatives, we were able to turn my dream into a reality.
