Lindsey Lozama, wedding planner at Simple Elegance, chose this unexpected hue to add a wow factor, while maintaining a classic, sophisticated feel. “I love that you can have items that are edgy but still be cohesive with a beautiful—and possibly traditional—wedding,” Lozama says. “When a color that is not normally used for weddings is used with precision, your guests will see all of the details you worked so hard on flow together.”

Chowgirls Killer Catering whipped up a trio of crave-able apps. From left: beef tenderloin toast with seasonal béarnaise, butternut squash with tzatziki, pecan and garlic greens, and curried lentil cakes with blackcurrant and peanut.

The perfect complement to the dark-green cake by INK Sweets? Dazzling white handmade sugar flowers and shiny edible gold leaf to brighten things up. (Oh, and sugar-loving guests ready to devour it.) The marble cakestand anchors the look and ties into the organic theme.
3) The Perfect Setting
“I’ve been really into texture and contrast lately,” Lozama says of the velvet table runner from BBJ Linen. She topped it with immaculate plates from Williams-Sonoma and dipped-gold flatware by Anthropologie.
4) Cool Cuts
The Cutting Garden loosely tied white peonies, ranunculus and Jack-in-the-pulpit emerging from lush leaves in this relaxed bouquet.
5) So Inviting
Lozama set the tone early, bringing in the marble detailing with the invitation suite. Champagne Press designed the elegant paperware, and Rosann Konieczny did the gold calligraphy on the emerald-green envelopes.
