“I love classic and elegant weddings, so that was the style I was going for,” says Kristy Schwintek of the inspiration behind her wedding to Zach Bork. Mission accomplished. The couple met at the University of St. Thomas but didn’t start dating until after graduation when they re-connected at a mutual friend’s house; they chose the Calhoun Beach Club for their big day. “We love that area of Minneapolis and loved the balcony that overlooked the lake. The venue also has a bright white interior that fit in perfectly with the look we were going for,” she says. That look involved lots of florals in shades of cream and muted pinks, for a romantic feel. As much as she loved the décor, Kristy’s favorite part of her wedding day was hanging out on the dance floor with all of her friends and family.
