Bridal Market 2013 Trends
Our fashionable friends at l'atelier couture bridal hit the ground running at Bridal Market. Here is their report on the top 2013 wedding gown trends, straight from the runway.
LACE
Everyone did lace this season! The best lace was probably by Vera Wang or Romona Keveza. Vera Wang's collection was called "All About Lace" and Romona Keveza introduced a new subtle crystal lace last market, expanding on it this market. We also love the diversity of lace options that Lela Rose offered this collection.
FULL SKIRTS
It's been a while since we have seen super full skirts so we were really excited to see Vera Wang's super classic and traditional collection this season. Romona Keveza showed us the most gorgeous all over lace and silk paillettes as well as crystal beaded ballgown, and Jenny Packham actually stepped out of her box and showed us a really beautiful full tulle skirt. "Blaire" by Jenny Packham was hands down my favorite gown from the collection.
EASILY ACCESSIBLE PRICE POINTS
Marchesa blew us out of the water this collection with unbelievable price points! You can usually access the collection starting at about $6,000, and in this collection there were only two gowns that went over $7,000. The majority of the gowns were $3,000 - $4,000. Mark your calendars for our Marchesa trunk show and event this December, when they will all be here for one weekend only! Marchesa was not the only designer that focused on introducing a lower price point either; Vera Wang had a lot of gowns in the $5,000 range.
