Wedding: June 30, 2017

Ceremony: Private residence, Glenwood

Reception: Lakeside Ballroom, Glenwood

Honeymoon: Mini-moon in Duluth

After living in the heat of Texas for five years, the blue vintage inspiration for Erika Gramm’s wedding to Will Flickinger was as cool as the quiet Minnesota lake that was the setting for their vows. The couple wanted to introduce their southern friends to Minnesota’s natural beauty, so they got married with Lake Reno as the backdrop, in the yard of the lakeside home of Erika's parents. It was a sweet welcome home for the Minnesota native. Years ago, she reluctantly spent a summer in Lubbock for an internship where she met Will, her neighbor. A year later she graduated from college, and without a hint of reluctance, packed up her car for a cross-country move to Texas. The couple recently moved to Minnesota, and their wedding aimed to embrace our state's lake culture. They played up a French provincial theme, incorporating royal blue into the day in everything from the groom’s tuxedo to vintage wine glasses to blueberries atop mini-cheesecakes. After exchanging vows beside the lake, the party transitioned to the Lakeside Ballroom, where boughs of greenery overflowed from centerpieces and fixtures were hung above a farm-style table. Before the reception, the bridal party and some of the couple's closest friends took a boat tour on glimmering Lake Minnewaska, making for a scene full of laughs and memories.
